Buenos Aires, Dec 1 (NA) -- The Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni, stated this Monday that 'the fiscal deficit is the cornerstone of our government plan,' and said that economic improvements must be 'accompanied by order in the streets,' for which he thanked the outgoing Minister of National Security, Patricia Bullrich, who will assume this week as a national senator. During a press conference at the Casa Rosada that was covered live by the Argentine News Agency, he highlighted the 'enormous contribution' of Bullrich and welcomed her successor in the National Security portfolio, Alejandra Monteoliva. 'This economic ordering must also be accompanied by order in the streets. A serious country project — like President Milei's — needs to transcend the will of the current government,' he asserted. Adorni emphasized that 'previously, criminals were looked upon with compassion, and citizens' demands were ignored. That is why the Ministry of National Security advanced with the creation of the National Migration Agency to unify migratory control and internal security in a single operational structure.' He recalled that 'key laws to dismantle organized crime were approved, such as the Anti-Mafia Law, and we take this opportunity to remind the Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires that he can adhere to this law to fight against narco-terrorism, if he so wishes,' referring to Axel Kicillof. The Chief of Staff stressed that 'prisoners no longer have a guaranteed minimum salary, and today they work while serving their sentence. A world turned upside down, where the perpetrator was seen as the victim and where criminals walked freely through the streets while Argentines had to lock themselves up in bars at their homes.' 'The Bullrich Doctrine —he added— came to put an end to this license, came to put an end to that anarchic regime that tied the hands of the security forces and forced people to defend themselves on their own. The Bullrich Doctrine came to defend Argentines and came to defend those who defend them, because a serious country is one that understands that the police must be backed to be able to act and take good care of its citizens.' He emphasized that as of the former minister's assumption as a senator 'from December 10, that same Bullrich Doctrine will be taken to the Argentine Nation's Congress.'
